Fairtrade, Ethics & Sustainability
Autobar are conscious of their responsibility to provide drinks from ethical sources to ensure that disadvantaged producers in the developing world get a better deal.
Specifically, the FAIRTRADE mark is an independent consumer label which appears on products as a guarantee that producers are getting a better deal. It guarantees farmers in developing countries a fair and stable price for their produce, which covers the costs of sustainable production. Fairtrade is not a brand. The FAIRTRADE mark is an independent stamp of approval.
We are a dedicated supplier of Fairtrade Certified products including many of our own Pelican Rouge range of premium quality coffees. Other certified products include Cadbury hot chocolate, tea bags, instant coffees and sugar sticks. Autobar are keen and regular supporters of Fairtrade Fortnight every year.

We recognise that many of our processes, products and services have the potential to affect the surroundings in which we operate.
It is Autobar's policy to manage our activities in a responsible manner. To this end, Autobar will not just meet current environmental legislation, but will strive to exceed the relevant environmental regulations in each of the countries in which we operate. We recognise that the area of sustainability is constantly evolving, and as a result we review our practices and procedures regularly.
Autobar continues to work on improving sustainability, making improvements where possible, while balancing the needs of customers, employees, the environment and our shareholders now and for the future.
Our focus lies in the areas where we can have the greatest impact: product development and sourcing; energy; packaging; waste and recycling; distribution and transport; communication and training.
The provision of our goods and services must be undertaken in accordance with Autobar Environmental Policy and objectives. We make sure that our goods and services must comply with relevant environmental legislation and, where relevant, consideration should be given to the impact those goods or services impose on the environment and how this can be minimised or improved.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Autobar is committed to operating in a socially responsible manner. Suppliers of goods and services must comply with relevant legislation and standards relating to trading policy, child labour, health and safety of workers and employment law.
Minimise our environmental impact and deliver benefits through better selection and improved usage of products and services;
Encourage innovation in our supply markets to increase the availability and effectiveness of sustainable solutions that meet our organisational requirements;
Encourage our suppliers to adopt practices that minimise their environmental impact and deliver benefits in relation to their own operations and throughout the supply chains in which they operate.
Work in partnership with suppliers to achieve our common goals and continually improve performance over time.
