purpose is to raise money for the provision of clean water in
Africa. Over a billion people in developing countries still cannot
access clean drinking water, while in the west, clean drinking
water is taken for granted.
Thirsty Planet water is dedicated to bringing clean water to
millions of people in sub Saharan Africa. Thirsty Planet works
exclusively with Pump Aid, a UK charity with 12 years experience in
delivering sustainable and cost effective solutions to provide
clean water to impoverished communities.
The donations from sales of Thirsty Planet water allows Pump Aid to
provide whole communities with clean water.
When you buy a bottle of Thirsty Planet water from an Autobar
operated vending machine, you are helping to provide clean water to
those in need. Thirsty Planet is currently funding a new pump every
6 hours.
Autobar was recently presented with a Certificate of Support from
Pump Aid in recognition of their sales of Thirsty Planet water.
Autobar have raised over £50,000 for the cause, which has
enabled 140 Elephant Pumps to be installed in Malawi and
Zimbabwe.
