Bunzl Vending Services – Environmental Initiatives
Our commitment to ongoing training and communication, plus the widely held public view that environmental change needs to happen, our ‘green’ initiatives have been warmly received and enthusiastically implemented by staff and customers alike.
As a consequence of some of these initiatives, we…
- ensure that all waste generated on customer sites is recycled appropriately using the correct collection points
- ensure we are using the correct chemicals in the recommended amounts for cleaning, to comply with Health & Safety and manufacturers’ guidelines.
- ensure the return of all large packaging material to our depots for re–use
- ensure that stock is rotated to minimise out–of–date wastage
Our successful environmental initiatives ensure that Bunzl Vending Services remains a leader within the industry.
As a group, our business requires that goods are to be shipped all over the world. We have taken steps to reduce the miles we cover and subsequently, our carbon footprint.
We currently:
- ensure the use of local suppliers wherever possible
- ensure the bulk purchase of vending machines
- ensure that ingredients are purchased in bulk
- ensure the use of centralised distribution centres within easy reach of most customer premises
- ensure that wherever possible, we use eco-friendly vehicles for deliveries
