Bunzl Blazers complete the London - Brighton Bike Ride and aim to raise over £3,800 for the British Heart Foundation
The Bunzl Blazers had a fantastic day out beside the seaside, beside the sea....
A hardy set of souls set-off from Clapham Common at 6am on Sunday morning for the long trip to Brighton. In all, the team had 45 Riders on the day and the weather was ideal for cycling other than a moderate westerly wind. Along the way, some of the team enjoyed the local hospitality whilst others just kept riding to get to the finish line to stop the pain! First across the line was Barry Fowler in 3 hours 30 minutes along with Alex Myles shortly afterwards and once riders got to Brighton they enjoyed a lovely afternoon with work colleagues, friends and family in the Bunzl Marquee.
The Team are hoping to beat the total of £3,800 raised last year, so if you still want to contribute to this wonderful cause please find someone you know who completed the ride and help us support the British Heart Foundation.
Unfortunately we had one casualty this year; Riaan Kinghorn came off his bike and broke several things in several places along with his thumb. We wish him well and hope for a speedy recovery.
This Event would not be possible without the support of the company and the support team who delivered and collected the bikes and provided help on the day in the Marquee.
I would like to thank on behalf of all the riders and their families - Deb Brunning, Harj Kaur and Paul Baguma and a big thank you to Mike Stubbs for an enormous amount of support the company has given for this event.
